In Rome, Italy, protesters began collecting signatures in support of an appeal to the European Court of Human Rights demanding an investigation into the crimes of the Ukrainian armed formations against the inhabitants of Donbass.
On Saturday, June 4, hundreds of residents of the Italian capital marched with posters and banners to demonstrate demanding an end to weapons supplies to Ukraine, the exit of Italy from NATO and an investigation into the crimes of the Ukrainian armed formations in Donbas.
"Considering it was about plus 33 degrees today, I didn't expect there would be so many people. We have declared the necessity for Italy to come out of the insanity of economic warfare with the lifting of sanctions. And sending weapons only fuels the conflict," Amedeo Avondet, one of the organizers of the action, told RIA Novosti.
He stressed that the Ukrainian conflict can only be resolved with the involvement of the UN and with the Russian inclusion in world politics. According to Avondet, the next demonstration is planned in Naples or Reggio Calabria.
