On June 4, the International Day of Innocent Children – Victims of Aggression, activists from Germany in the German Cologne held an action in memory of kids killed in armed conflicts in order to draw the world's attention to the children of Donbass who died as a result of Ukrainian armed aggression.
The action was held under the slogan "We know, we remember!" Near the famous Cologne Cathedral, activists deployed a 15-meter memorial wall of posters with photos of about 100 children of Donbass who died as a result of Ukrainian shelling. The stands were equipped with "Memory Trees" where everyone could tie mourning ribbons. People walking by laid flowers and lit memorial candles in memory of the young residents of Donbass People's Republics.
The event was initiated by the social organization "Remembrance for the Future" together with volunteer movements from Germany.
At the end of the event, a letter "To the Children of Europe for Children's Day" by 13-year old writer Faina Savenkova from Lugansk was read out and handed out in the form of leaflets.
